    Unanswered: Is it require to recreate Snapshot each time

    Hi...

    We are making the column length change in the base table of an snapshot (increasing). We couldnt refresh the snapshot. After recreating the snapshot. It is refreshing properly. Wont it get adjusted during refresh? Is it require to recreate Snapshot each time ??

    The ddl changes should be propated from the Master Site to the Snapshot site thru:

    dbms_repcat.do_deferred_repcat_admin....

    Yes, snapshot needs to be dropped and recreated for refresh to resume there after in case there there is any change in the base table structure

    DBMS_REPCAT.DO_DEFERRED_REPCAT_ADMIN (
    gname IN VARCHAR2,
    all_sites IN BOOLEAN := FALSE);


    gname is the rep group name...
    all_sites specifies whether to push changes to all sites ...

    MUST be run from the master site ... You should already have this
    setup as a job (1 for each replication group on the master site).
