Unanswered: Copy selected tables to another database

    Hi all,

I want to copy some tables from one database to another *using a query*. Is there any tool in DB2 for this task?

What I am looking for is equivalent of COPY command for Oracle. In Oracle, one can give "COPY FROM db1 TO db2 USING query".

    (I am on Solaris, DB2 8.1).

    Thanks.

Re: Copy selected tables to another database

AFAIK, there is no command to do this ...

You can use db2move with export option on the source and import option on the target ...

Other way is to define the source table as a federated table in the target database and do, insert into ... select * from
