Unanswered: Configuring Oracle for Remedy (AR System)

Not sure if this is the right section for this topic but I am wondering if anybody has setup an Oracle database for the Remedy Action Request software?
We have it running now but it is extremely slow, yet if we try it against SQL Server it runs very fast.
So I am wondering if anyone knows what parameters should be adjusted within Oracle? Such as what size should our db_block_buffers be at?
    Any advice will be appreciated.
    Thanks

Are table & index statistics current and valid for the ARADMIN schema?

I have run a dbms_stats.gather_schema_stats on the ARADMIN schema but I have not seen a performance improvement.

    into initSID.ora file add:
event="10046 trace name context forever, level 8
    and bounce DB
This will create a SQL_TRACE file for every session.
Run them thru tkprof to see where the actual slowdown occurs.
Typically this is on queries with "large" elapsed times
with CPU time (much?) smaller than elapsed time.
