Exclamation Unanswered: File Checking In Perl

    Hi,

I want to check for the availability of a file in an ftp server.

The file name, search directory, ftp server name, user name & password. These should be user defined, during run time.

Did anybody help me how to do this through a perl script.

If I use getFTPfiles, this code is trying to get the file from the ftp location.

I just want to check the availabilty of the file in ftp server.

    Regards,
    R.Ramesh.

I thind the module Net::FTP, available on www.cpan.org, is useful for you. This module provides several methods to connect with a ftp-server.

After the user has typed in the requested parameters, you have to connect with the ftp-server. Then you can get all files in the directory.
