    It depends.
    I'm responsible for 40+ DBs.
Most of them I simply ignore until I get a call from a user with a problem.
Others I have numerous DBMS_JOB entries which run as often as every minute that will page me when a threshold has been exceeded.
What are YOUR business requirements & SLA that need to be met?

I cross my fingers and hope for the best.
    You should too!

I attached an old db_checklist sheet that I found
(I did not write it so send your comments to the authors!).
