    Unanswered: indexing problem in Oracle

    Hello everyone,

    I've got problem create index using indextype ctxsys.context, it always appear an error message when I create it :

    create index myindex on published(dok)
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-29855: error occurred in the execution of ODCIINDEXCREATE routine
    ORA-20000: Oracle Text error:
    DRG-50857: oracle error in drixtab.create_index_tables
    ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object
    ORA-06512: at "CTXSYS.DRUE", line 157
    ORA-06512: at "CTXSYS.TEXTINDEXMETHODS", line 186

    Is there any problem in my ORACLE setting because it look like I've got a problem setting

    I am not sure about it. But i have read it some time back.
    Actually its bug in oracle ...this error comes where the cursor_sharing
    parameter is set to force or sharing.
    Try by setting cursor_sharing to EXACT in the init.ora file.

    init.ora

    Thanx 4 ur advice but I've got any problem agin when I enter my init.ora file, I can't found the setting that u advice ehhmm about cursor_sharing I don't exactly what it is but is that as same as Cursors and Library Cache in init.ora file n if it same what should I do with that section
