Unanswered: federated : unable to create server SQL1013N

    Hello,

    I have a big problem with DB2 8.1 federated database : I cannot create a server.
Explain : on a server, I have two instance A and B with respectivly the databases DA and DB.
I want to import data from DA to DB, and so, I want to configure the instance B as a federated system.
The two database are correctly catalogued on the server, I create the wrapper on DB, but when I attempt to create the server for this wrapper, I always have a SQL1013N error : The database alias name or
database name <name> could not be found.
    The command is :
    CREATE SERVER "SERVA" TYPE DB2/UDB VERSION '8.1' WRAPPER "DRDA" AUTHID "MY_USER" PASSWORD "************" OPTIONS ( DBNAME 'DA_ALIAS' );

where DA_ALIAS is the alias of DA database.

When I create the server, the alias of database is good (the same I've catalogued ), so I wonder why what is wrong in my parameters ?

Note : the system is Windows 2000 Server.

    Could you help me ?

Please try giving the true dbname in options, not the alias

    1. add node to the options

CREATE SERVER TSTSRV TYPE DB2/AIX VERSION 8.1WRAPPER DRDA
    AUTHID "USERID" PASSWORD "PASSWD"
OPTIONS (NODE 'NODE', DBNAME 'DBNAME', fold_pw 'N')

    2. restart the instance (catalog information might be cached )

Thanks for your help, but I'v always the same result ...
Have you another idea ? An instance's parameter ? Some problem on the server ? The communications ?
There is something very strange no ? The connections are good, I can access on the two database, there are catalogued, but the command don't work ...
    :-(

Finaly, it was the environement variable DB2INSTANCE which was wrong. It refers to the first instance and not the second...
Thank you for your help and have a nice day !
