    Unanswered: Bulk Import in Sybase

We are required to insert bulk data from VB to Sybase.

Is there any command available in sybase for inserting bulk data?.

    Thanks for the immediate reply.

WE have executed the bcp command through shell function from VB. The problem by using this we are not able to get the error messages from bcp,

Is there other way of handling this?

Use the -o option putting the error msg in a file, and then analyze it.

Since the bulk import will be happened every day and from varies users. The manipulation of text file will be more and more for doing bulk import.

To do the bulk import, there are two files to be handled, one for actual input data from excel to front-end (VB) and other for output file of BCP. Everyday number of files will be increased, and in some cases we need to know which data caused error.

Apart from these concepts of BCP, are any other techniques?
