Unanswered: Critical IO problem with file LKDBNAME

    Hi everybody,

I'm having a serious IO contention problem with the file $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/lkDBNAME.

I have an Oracle 9i R2 patch 9.2.0.4 on an AIX 5L and a Clariion CX400 EMC storage.

    I have 12Gbytes of RAM em 6 CPU's.

    Oracle SGA is about 8Gb.

    so thats the problem:

all processes goes VERY slow and the iostat shows me 100% busy internal disks (not storage ones).

The UNIX guy said that the file been used is $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/lkDBNAME.

Anyone knows what and why Oracle is reading that file soo much ?

Thats been critical so that all system goes very, very slow.

I have been looking at metalink, and it was helpless.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    cheers,

    Leandro Santos
