I'm working on an app for a customer who needs information from his shopping cart program pumped into his accounting program. The shopping cart uses an MS Access database hosted on a web server managed by somebody else. My program is written in Borland C++ Builder and I need both read and write access to the database. I'm currently using the standard BDE/ODBC SQL components, but I'm not wedded to them. He's using Front Page to manage his site. Is there a methodology or component set that will let me make this connection? Setting up a DSN for MS Access seems to require a local or mapped network drive, unlike something like MySQL which allows for internet databases. The shopping cart program does have an option of upgrading to SQL Server but I'm not sure my customer is interested in that.
Any advice would be wonderful, thanks.
