    Unanswered: Capture operational params

Hello, I have a little problem.
Here is an article from the DB2 replication guide and reference redbook:

CLNUPITV Specifies the maximum amount of time (in hours) before the
Capture program prunes old records from the change-data (CD) etc...

when i am issuing a command:

    STRDPRCAP RESTART(*YES) CLNUPITV(60 *DELAYED)

the capture process starts, but it begins to prune records from control tables not after 60 hours but after 60 seconds. Why?

just to bring up the question.

    Nobody knows?
I'm asking to try this type of command on your AS. If you'll have such results or others post here, please.

    Sorry by my English.

Re: just to bring up the question.

Why not say 3600 instead of 60 ... probably the value is seconds and not minutes as you assume

    Cheers

    re

    It is not so simple.
"DB2 Replication Guide and Reference" says:

    prune-interval
The pruning interval expressed as a specific number of hours (1 to 100)...

if i'll try to run this command:
    STRDPRCAP RESTART(*YES) CLNUPITV(3600 *DELAYED)
Replication Center will say: that clnupitv receives parameters only in the specified range (1 to 100).
