    Angry Unanswered: dbt_keep value reset

    Hi,

    We have a problem on a Sybase server versio n "Adaptive Server Enterprise/12.5.1/EBF 11560 ESD#1/P/Sun_svr4/OS 5.8/ase1251/1831/64-bit/FBO/Sat Nov 22 07:27:33 2003 " running on a Solrais 8 platform.
We try to set a database in single user but we receive the following error:

"Database option 'single user' turned ON for database 'XXX'.
Running CHECKPOINT on database 'XXX' for option 'single user' to take effect.
Attempt to set 'XXX' database to single user mode failed because the usage count is 4. Make sure that no other users are currently using this database
    and rerun CHECKPOINT."

When we make a sp_who or if we look on the sysprocesses table, we didn't see any users connected to this db !

I look on the sybase site and there is planned a CR allowing the reset of the dbt_keep value (CR 238070).
Does CR already exist or fixed ?

Except the reboot, is it possible to reset the dbt_keep value to 0 to force the database to set the option single user ?
    Anyone idea ?

    Thank you in advance,

    Xavier

No!, there is no way to reset the keep count without recycle. You should contact Sybase Support and ask them to associate your request with that CR.
