    Angry Unanswered: applyfilter w/wildcard

    I am trying to set up a search that will behave like a wildcard (*'*) by default. In other words I would like to have the applyfilter command filter records and "match any part of the field." I am using the following code:

    If Frame231 = 3 Then

    rs = "CUST_NAME = '" & Me!Combo227 & "'"
    DoCmd.ApplyFilter wherecondition:=rs

    End If

    This works fine as long as the entire (in this case) CUST_NAME is entered. I have tried many variations of "like", "*rs*" etc. These variations usually return a Syntax Error
    Thanks,
    Bill

    Try:

    rs = "CUST_NAME Like '*" & Me!Combo227 & "*'"
