Unanswered: Which service pack installed 3 or 3a?

    Hi all,

Does anyone know, apart from the documentation that one keeps on these things, which service pack is installed in SQL Server.

Microsoft versioning reports on 8.00.760 for both.

    Any ideas please?

    Rgds,
    Jim.

There is no major difference between SP3 and SP3a except three bug fixes ...

The version of SQL Server found after we apply SP3 or SP3a is 8.00.0760. But ssnetlib.dll version on the server would be 2000.80.760.0 for SP3 and 2000.80.766.0 for SP3a.

And I would prefer if people would google before asking such questions.
