    Unanswered: DBCC & Transaction log

My database transaction log file grows during a DBCC check.
The data file size is 4G, during the DBCC, the log file too auto-grows to 4G!!
Is this expected behavior? I am running into major space issues on the server due to this. Is there any workaround/fix for this?

1.Try with changing the database status to simple recovery mode.
    2.If u r using MS-SQL 2000 u can try with dbcc Indexdefrag <dbname>

ITs normal behaviour on Tlog part to bulge on Data/index re-org.

Its better to accomplish certain size to Tlog after the testing and maintain regular TLog backups to ensure Logical size is not increased drastically.

ENsure no issues on diskspace, if so try to delete unnecessary files or add more physical space to the array.

WIthout testing do not attempt to change recovery models.
