Unanswered: Import external data into a table - by code

This is the first time I'm thinking about this, so my question is:

is there a way to import - by code - external data into a table?

    Thank you for any idea.

    yes

and if you want a more detailed answer, you will have to explain what the data looks like.

    Ok...

The goal is to import some data (name, address...) into a table.

But, probably the important is to know if the original data comes from access, excel, text... Right?

Well, I'll come back soon with this info.

    Thank you, Izy.

If you import from Excel then

    DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acImport, acSpreadsheetTypeExcel97, yourTableName2StoreDataIn, "c:\yourXlfileName.xls", True

    Ok, thank you.

But now, a little more complex:

If we have an Excel column with the name A, is possible to import into the access field name B?

Just change its name in Excel from A to be B
