Unanswered: Is it possible to make a .dll in VB?

    Hi,

I want to make a dll that I can use in an access application, similar to how I use the common dialog api:

    Private Declare Function _
    aht_apiGetOpenFileName Lib "comdlg32.dll" _
Alias "GetOpenFileNameA" (OFN As tagOPENFILENAME) _
    As Boolean

    Can I do this?
If so, are there samples somewhere?

    Thanks,
    JT

Yes, see the article on COM Add-Ins by Ken Getz.

    Thanks for the link PatP.

Is there a way to make a dll using vb for an access application that doesn't require the dll to be linked via the "add-in" manager?

I really need to be able to reference the dll from an access application using just the declare statement and nothing else (like I would if I'd made the dll using C or a Fortran).
