    Unanswered: access lockup...

    my access db has around 1800+ records and around 20 tables;
    there is one table in there that houses all the 1800+ records and their particulars; there are other tables that house bout 3600 records in there..but somehow, this table always seems to take the longest to load;

    whenever i open this table, my access DB will take a year and a half to open the next time i try to open the DB (bout 10 mins). once its open, subsequent times, it takes less than 5 secs;

    if i dont open this specific table, it opens in <5 secs all the time;

    why is it this the case? i hate having to wait for 10 mins;

    (this is the frontend, not the back end)

    thx
