    Unanswered: Script to run formulas

    Hello all,

We run a prospecting company in Az and have developed some formulas to find miscellaneous information about gold people have found. I would like for people to be able to enter their vairbles into the formula and run the query and give them the output. For example, if they want to find the specific gravity the would have the weight of gold in air, the weight of gold in water and divide by something..... 2.3grams X 3.3 grams / .56. What would be the best way to approach this?

    Thanks for any information.

    Er, a calculator??

Seriously, though - associate a number of fields with each formula (you'll then know the order of them). Take the values out of the fields and use your formula to calculate the result.

You also don't need ASP for this (or any server-side language), you could use client side JavaScript just as easily.

    Or perhaps this might help:

But you'd probably want to replace X with * or train your users accordingly.
