    Angry Unanswered: Redirect using Windows Authentication

    Alright I am revamping my facilities intranet. One of the things my boss would like is for the user to be redirected to a page based on their job. He wants me to use NTLM and windows authentication to do this to make it easier for the end users. What is the coding to have the default page redirect using a domain group to the specified page.

    example is a member of Domain group "a" opens there browser and is redirected to a.aspx.

    Thanks

    I know how to redirect after login using forms and Passport, is there no way to do this? I know how to authenticate users using windows authentication, and allow or deny based on that. I figure that there should be a way to verify that a user is in a specific NTLM user group, then redirect based on whether they are or not. Please someone answer and let me know if this is at all possible.

    Post try this

    This will get the user's domain and loginname:

    ------------------------------------
    dim strUser
    strUser = uCase(Request.ServerVariables("AUTH_USER"))
    ------------------------------------

    I change it to Uppercase for easier data manipulation. The rest you should be able to do.
