Unanswered: How much memory can ASE 4.3 32 bit support

I find follow case which AIX 4.3 can support 2.5 GB memory
    http://info.sybase.com/resolution/de...umber=10689000

But the ASE 12.0.0.6 32 bit for AIX can not start

    01:36:25.56 kernel os_create_region: can't allocate -1747668992 bytes
01:36:25.56 kernel kbcreate: couldn't create kernel region.
01:36:25.56 kernel kistartup: could not create shared memory

    Could you help me?Thanks

This is a common error that occurs when ASE requests more shared memory than your operating system will allow. This is easily fixed -- however I don't know AIX. Ask your system administrator to increase the shared memory parameter of AIX, or if that person is you, I'd Google for something like shared memory AIX and see how to increase the shared memory flag.
    Thanks,

Seems to me that the limit should be 1.7 Gb on 32 bits OS.
