    Unanswered: EXP/IMP issues

    Hi,

I am tryi ng to copy a 25 million rows table to another table in the same database. I have tried using EXP/IMP. But getting an error. May be because the source and destination tables have different names and they are in the same schema.
What is the best way to accomplish this task? Is it EXP/IMP or SQL Procedure or SQL * Loader?
What are some precautions I need to take before I do any of the above?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi,

If u want to copy rows into same database. I think no need for IMP/EXP.
You can do like, say u want to copy rows from table A to Table B.

    Insert /*+append*/ into B (Select * from A)

Or u can also used Copy command of oracle.

    Thanks
