    Thumbs up how to reduce insertion time

    Hi all,
    I have developed an application which inserts more than 10,000 records from csv file in to MS Access table, it is taking 7 to 10 seconds of time.
    I want to reduce it to 2 to 3 seconds how can i resolve this.
    Please help me in this .......

    Whether it is possible to reduce the time, I don't know. But frankly, unless you are going to be loading flat files into Access several times per minute all day long, does it really matter?

    I'd guess at 10K rows per shot, you won't be doing that for very many minutes!

    Without more information, I'm not able to come up with much help.

    reduce time for insertion

    hi all,

    I have to load at a time 100 or more csv files to the database.
    each and every csv file has 10000 and more rows....

    so i am running insert query 10000 times every time to insert in to the table it is taking much time.....will flat file export will be less time taking process i do not know how to achieve that please let me know ...

    I don't know either. This is an MS Access question, so you would be better off asking it in the MS Access forum.
