    Unanswered: Parsing a field between embedded linefeeds

    Hi

    I'm trying and failing to parse a single field that has embedded char(10) between address line 1, addressline 2, town, postcode.

    The special character is a square/oblong

    I'd like to create from this new fields with the values of each "address line" in each.

    How??

    I've attached a single line text file with the embedded special characters, just in case I haven't explained it enough.

    Thanks for your help.

    You can do something like this:

    dim AddrString() as string

    AddrString=Split(SourceString, Chr(10),-1, vbTextCompare)

    Thanks for that

    Is there something I can use in a query to convert that field with several char(10) in it to a "," or space or.................?

    Thanks
