If Oracle Client is Installed in the Unix Box, and ORACLE_HOME is defined for your Userid, just use the command "sqlplus".

    Hope this helps.

    find / -name sqlplus -print 2> /dev/null

If this returns a directory location then add that to your path.

    use the command :
    find / -name sqlplus

This will tell you the ORACLE installation path.

    example :
If sqlplus path is as following:
    /appl/pkg/oracle/client9i/product/bin/sqlplus

    Then use the command
    export ORALE_HOME=/appl/pkg/oracle/client9i/product
    export PATH=/appl/pkg/oracle/client9i/product/bin:$PATH

    then use the command
    sqlplus

    Hope this helps
