    Unanswered: unable to exec a procedure in unix

    Can someoone help me with this error:


    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-20000: ORU-10027: buffer overflow, limit of 1000000 bytes
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_OUTPUT", line 91
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_OUTPUT", line 58
    ORA-06512: at "APPS.UPDATE_BLANK", line 133
    ORA-06512: at line 1

    I have changed the output size and its still the same:

    Have set serveroutput size 100000 and I am still getting this error, HELP

    use UTL_FILE in place of DBMS_OUTPUT to avoid the size limitation of DBMS_OUTPUT

    Thanks, however do I simply put UTL_FILE in place of dbms_output.put_line

    so it looks like this:

    UTL_FILE (' IN LOWER')

    does it act as the same as dbms_output.put_line?
