    Unanswered: Database Encryption

    Good day!

I'm a bit new to encryption, so my question may seem quite trivial... but I'm stumped.

I implemented the Blowfish encryption algorith in my Access database. I use this to store passwords in ciphertext.

My question is this: How do I go about storing the key? It seems a but dumb to store it in plaintext in a table... so should I just set a class in VBA and call it that way?

    What would you do?

    Thanks!

    Alrighty... how about SHA1?

It's non-reversable, so would that be a better solution to store passwords?

you have an encryption algorithm: you enter "plainText" and you get "cryptText" as a return.

store "cryptText" in your table ...where's the problem?
