    Unanswered: Oracle Forms

    I have a number field in my Forms application. When the value of the field changes, I need to execute another trigger. For that, I tried calling that trigger in the POST-TEXT-ITEM trigger of the currency field. But a message saying 'illegal call to GO_BLOCK' is throwing. What needs to be done to rectify this?

    The trigger I used in POST-TEXT-ITEM is

    GO_ITEM('PARTICIPANTDATA.PB_BOOKING');
    EXECUTE_TRIGGER('WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED');

    I am not able to execute any of the trigger in POST-TEXT-ITEM trigger. What would be resolution for this?

    Regards

    You are not allowed to execute any of the restricted procedures (such as GO_BLOCK, for example; check the list of those procedures) in any of PRE- or -POST- triggers.

    Try to put your code into KEY-NXTFLD trigger, for example (if it suits your needs); that trigger allows calling restricted procedures.
