    Unanswered: sqlldr command in froms on client machine

    Hi,

    I want to run sqlldr command to insert records in client forms program to oracle sun solaris server machine.

    How can I connect to server machine with using sqlldr command in forms?

    Hi,
    i think you can do something like this.

    Declare in you tnsname.ora you connection

    PHP Code:
    my_connection.world
          (
    DESCRIPTION
                (
    ADDRESS_LIST
                    (
    ADDRESS
                          (
    COMMUNITY tcp.world)
                          (
    PROTOCOL TCP)
                          (
    Host my_host)
                          (
    Port 1521)
                       )
                    (
    ADDRESS
                          (
    COMMUNITY tcp.world)
                          (
    PROTOCOL TCP)
                          (
    Host my_host)
                          (
    Port 1526)
                    )
                )
                (
    CONNECT_DATA
                (
    SID my_db)
                )
          )
    and then run you sqlldr like this :

    sqlldr userid/password@my_connection my_ctl.ctl my_log.log my_bad.bad my_file.dat

    I didn't use it for sqlldr, but for Pro*C to connect to database for insert/update/delete. And it works...
