after server is restrated the SQL server service get stuck for very long time, when we kill the sql server process id and starts the service from the services console the service starts in no time,
there are no errors in the windows events viewer, and in the SQL server logs.
in happens when the service is under local system accont or domain/user account.
there no start up procedures or parameters.
the sever configuration is defualt
DBCC CHECKDB and DBCC CHECKALLOC are most commonly used for each db to check its health and status, for SQL often stops abnormally if transaction log gets full and couldn't expand due to disk space or its configuration. These tests may help u.
Hi, do u've the same problem for both local and domain-user service accounts. If the startup user is a domain user account, add it to local admin-group.
U've mentioned that SQL stucks; means u can't log into it during that time or the service doesn't just starts up?
