I am trying to create a procedure which refers a column in a table.
I am getting a strange error that "column does not exists" in the table.
The column is present in this table and the spellings are absolutely correct.
Can anyone suggest that what could be the cause.

Is the table in your schema ??? If not, do you have select privs on the table ... are you referencing the table as schema_name.table_name or just table_name ... If so, is there a synonym and if so, is it current ???
I have been unable to make out what was causing the error as the spelling name, schema etc. everything was just fine.
So, i dropped the column and then recreated it again.. and everything is working fine now.
Seems more like a bug as there are many docs with similar problem on metalink.. and in all those cases, the problem was solved by such silly methods only like recreating the col or renaming the col etc.
