I created a report using Excel Macro language. I print the report from within the macro. However, When I print, a new instance of excel appears in the Task Manager... Hence to process one report, I'm actually opening 2 instances in Taskmanager.

I open and close the REport through a VB6 program(scheduled).

I have several reports to run the same way.

Although one instance closes, a new one keeps appearing for printing... Many a times, the system hung and the reports didn't produce due to excess instances.

How do I prevent this from happening?
