    Unanswered: Concatenate fields (embedded &)

I'm relatively new to working with Excel sheets.

    Cell C1 = C&C Industries (Text field)
Cell C2 = March 2004 (Date field custom)

I'm trying to combine cell C1 with C2 to read: C&C Industries March 2004

I have tried entering the formula for Cell C3 (Text) as follows: =C1&C2
Cell C3 then appears as: =C1&C2. It does not display the value. Any idea why the cell only displays the formula?

    Try this formula:

    =C1&TEXT(C2,"mmmm yyyy")

And the cell should be formatted "General" (at least it worked for me).
    old, slow, and confused
    but at least I'm inconsistent!

Works perfectly. I think part of my problem was defining the cell as Text. It works when defined as General. Thanks.
