    Hi Saravanan,

Daily u are posting same thing. Even if the same things are repeating, there is no harm, Things will get refresh. I don't find anything very often
repeating. So better not to post such reply.
Moreover if every one search for link as mention by u, then there is no
    need for forums, right.

    Thanks,
    Pagnint

    Saravanan,

Thanks for the list of resources. It is great if people can hunt down the info themselves. As Paginit alluded to sometimes newbies (and even oldies) are so bewildered that they do not not what to search for. If you have the luxury of time you can browse through listsing looking for an answer. I find that the sound of those deadlines whizzing by to distracting for browsing. I usually go for the question.

In my opinion, forums are more then places to find answers, they are also communities. We all need more community.

    Have a great day!

    Great stuff guys.
It seems Saravanan is more interested in searching sites for help rather than being a friend of Parag.

    Just joking......
U know Saravanan the success of this site is that it provides us help from so many unseen friends when we are in need.

But I definitely appreciate the effort of providing sites by u.

As it gives great pleasure to hunt down the answers to one's question all by himself. In any case everybody is welcomed with their posts in this site.

    Regards,
    Kaushik

I believe 95% of questions (oracle or whatever) have answers somewhere, but we are still asking and answering, since if not, we will be dead, same as the forum.

    Re: Before Post Your Question

    Saravanan,
It's a good things to search and read all the materials you have showed to us but many times the users need something in urgent and they don't have time to go and search the answers and they hope this forum really helpful for quick solutions. Its a good idea to read and find the answers ourself though.

    Hi All,

You know of course that every answer to every question is listed in Oracle's (fine/free) documentation.

It makes you wonder how all those sites you listed came to exist, it must be a load of people with nothing better to do than duplicate the material in the Oracle manuals.

I suspect those sites (are much like this forum) a resource where people have asked questiosn and got answers.

Sarcasm aside, I fully appreciate the basis of your thoughts, but (as I have also said to others on here) that tone just is not condusive to a 'forum'.

Please don't email me directly with questions. I've probably just got home from the pub and cannot guarantee the sanity of my answers. In fact, I can't believe I actually made it home.
