    Unanswered: Pro*C compling problem

    Hi all,

    I'm trying to complie a very simple code using Pro*C. When i complie the code with absolute hard coded values, it compiles ok

    but when i substite variables instead of values it gives me errors.
    I have declared the variables.

    Code snippet is

    EXEC SQL INSERT INTO tbl_UserMaster(UserCode,UserId,UserPasswd,UserEmai lId)
    VALUES(:code, :user, :key, :email);


    Error imessage generated is

    any help would be immensly appriciated....
