    Unanswered: Table Structure Question

I am looking to to build a table for invocing a customer. I have a few ideas but, they do not seem to be panning out.

I need to show line items and prices but they will never be the same amount. Is it better to have more table columns than needed just incase or is there a better way to set this up.

I was going to pull information form two tables

Customer info & the Invoice Info

    I need invoice number
    date
    location
    items
    tax
    and prices

But am lost on the best way to archive the items and prices.

The info is going to have to be manually entered to display, though these seem redundant it will be 100 times easeier than the way we have to do it now due to our old A/R program.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you have an inventory table? That should be the source for your part numbers, and at least a "first guess" at the price. I think that you need to have the part number, quantity, and the selling price in your invoice line items table.
