    Unanswered: Simple questions

    I am trying to create a table with the following coding:

    CREATE TABLE EMPLOYEE(
    EMPLOYEEID NUMBER(4)
    CONSTRAINT EMPLOYEEID_PK PRIMARY KEY,
    SALARY NUMBER(6,2) NULL,
    COMMISIONAMOUNT NUMBER(5,2) NULL);


    but don't know how do I create with at least five EMPLOYEEID?

    your question doesn't make sense, do you mean you want the field to be 5 characters number(5) or do you mean you need a sequence or you want 5 records?

    IT'S OK I FIGURED IT OUT. I NEEDED 5 ENTRIES FOR EMPLOYEEID. SO AFTER I CREATED MY TABLE I SIMPLY INSERTED 5 EMPLOYEEID. THANKS FOR TRYING TO HELP ME THOUGH.

    If Some1 first looks at UR ID U will seem like DBA.
    But the Question U asked can be answered by 10 yr old provided the child has attended even 1 class about Oracle.
