Unanswered: OEM client console crashing when connecting to 8i database
I have searched hi and low for an answer. We have 2 Pentium IV laptops here and both have Oracle 9i installed on them. One is running Windows 2000 Pro and the other Win XP Pro. Both are acting the same way. The Oracke Enterprise Manager (i.e. OEM) console seems to work fine against local Oracle 9i databases. We have some development Oracle 8.1.6 and 8.1.7 Enterprise databases on Solaris here and when you try to view a table the OEM client console crashed to the desktop. You can look at other objects like tablespaces, users, datafiles, etc. You can click on the schema owner but as soon as you click on tables in the schema the console crashed to the Windows desktop. There is no error or any error in a log as far as I can see. Does anyone have any recommendations.
