Is it possible to subtract the values of two unique columns and show the answer in a separate comlum? Thanks

    yea certainly...

In the field row of the query type...

    YourExpressionHere: [uniquenum1]-[uniquenum2]

    Then run the query.

I can get it to calculate in the query but it won't write the value to my table. Is there anything else I could change.

Ah you are wanting the value input to your table? I see a bit more clearly now.

Maybe run the query as an update query, and use that third column to 'update' its coresponding column in the table.

    Hope that helps a bit,

That may work. I just don't know how that will effect the rest of the form.
