The best place to get this sort of information is in file RUNTIME.CHM that ships with Crystal 9. You should find it in directory:-
on the Crystal Reports 9 CD.
Check the Exporting topic and sub-topics Export Destinations (e.g. disk file) and Export Formats. That said, I don't think there is an output format DLL for Word (crxf_wordw.dll, perhaps?). You can certainly export to RTF. For this, you will need a heap of DLLs.
RUNTIME.CHM tells you to put the Crystal 9 files into directory tree:-
<Program Files>\<Common Files>\Crystal Decisions\2.0\bin

Note that there are some system DLLs that are required by the above. Examples of these are ATL.DLL (ANSI or Wide), and some other MS VC bits and bobs.
