    Unanswered: Stored Procedures

    I have a database with a SQL Server 2K backend and a MS Access 2K front end. I have written a bunch of stored procedures in teh SQL database. How do I access them from MS Access?

    I have tried using the DoCmd.OpenStoredProcedure but it keeps saying it can't find them. I thnk I might need some sort of connection string before the Docmd statement.

    Can someone help me out?

    TIA

    Create a MS-Access query by stored procedure, using

    Queries -> New -> Design View ->
    Query -> SQL Specific -> Pass-Through

    Then call the query using Docmd.RunQuery

    That worked. Thanks for the info. Is there a way to call a stored procedure directly from VBA or do you always have to make it into a query in Access first?

    try creating a microsoft access project
    it allows access to stored procedures and views as well as your defualt access components.
    you can even create database diagrams in the project
