    Unanswered: ASP Pages rendered slow

    Hi Group,
This is annoying as I haven't changed anything in my ASP page/SQL database...

I was able to run a query from my ASP page this morning - It worked fine.

I tried running the SAME query and it was running for 10 mins before returning the data. I had to do a CTRL ALT DEL.

I have checked the SQL side of things i.e checked statistics, indexes etc and all looks OK.

Could it be some sort of caching?
Could it be the way the query is constructed? If so, why work OK the first time then subsequent runs it falls over?

Any info will be much appreciated.

Maybe the SQL Server where your database is, was under heavy load at the time of your test.

Check if you are closing all ADO objects (connections, recordsets, etc.) too.
