Unanswered: Executing OS Language Command within PL/SQL Block

I need to execute a OS language command (e.g. shell command) within a PL/SQL block to manipulate something. For example let say my PL/SQL block is writing into a file using UTL_FILE utility. I want to move the file to a certain location after the process is complete and want to change the file name to some other name. Can this be done in Oracle 9i. Please let me know We are on Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release

You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
