    Unanswered: SQL Job failing

We have a sqljob keep failing if we set the ownership of the job other than 'sa'. Any idea why this fails?

    Any Messag

Does it leave any messages (if you have an error file created for it?)
Also, what kind of stuff it runs

    Re: SQL Job failing

Because the job needs SA right to execute.

No intermediate error files being spooled. That's what i am thinking next.
All it does is select prefiltered records from database and based on the context will perform SMTP calls to popup mail notification.

The package DTS package is working fine internally inside the EM.

Generally send mail is Sysadmin only. You can grant it individually to have users other than SA to use it. But the user has to be have DBO rights to Master.

Check SQLAgent log for more information on the job failure, if nothing is returned on SQL server error log.
