Palladian Consulting is seeking candidates for the following contract assignment in Austin Texas.
Start Date of: May 10, 2004 and shall be completed by August 31, 2004. It is estimated that the total effort for the contractor will not exceed 704 hours
Candidates must have the following experience.
A. 5+ years work experience in working on a technical team of developers through a full system development life cycle. Specifically, experienced in designing, developing (coding), and implementing web applications, which provide simple to complex business solutions.
C. Work experience and skills in the use of Sybase 11.0 +, MS Server 2000 or other relational databases. Experience Sybase 11.9 +, MS SQL Server 2000 are a plus.
E. Work experience with generic database structures preferred.
F. Work experience in designing and developing electronic forms utilizing Verity LiquidOffice a plus.
G. Experience using third party tools to develop class, package and deployment diagrams.
H. Ability to work in a team environment, on a project with tight deadlines.
I. Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
Services of the contractor will include, but are not limited to the following:
A. Perform analysis of existing business and system use cases and requirements documentation to gain over all understanding of the functionality the new application is required to perform.
B. Work with a set of master templates designed with Verity LiquidOffice Designer and make specific edits to standard script to meet user requirements.
C. Provide work estimates for completion of work assignments.
D. Participate in the technical reviews of components developed.
E. May be tasked to define the development structure such as programming guidelines and standards dependent on the recommend tools and technical environment.
F. Communicate with project manager, technical team lead, team members and customer about change requests and to understand their needs.
G. Utilize the Agency’s change management system, PVCS Tracker and version control systems, PVCS Version Manager as appropriate
H. Document all technical work as requested including unit level testing.
I. Keep Agency supervisor and management informed on issues and the status of work planned and complemented by submitting weekly status reports.
J. Interface as appropriate in order to complete coding assignments/ responsibilities with Agency data analyst, database administrators, network operations, security officer and other IT peers and management.
K. Other duties as assigned.
