Question Unanswered: re: need advise on db_buffer_cache

    hi! ,

I am running an Oracle SPATIAL procedure.

It is taking days to run.

Here are my system info ..

    Oracle 9i on window 2000.
    total 512 MB RAM

When i check the amount of RAM free it is 340 MB from the task manager of windows.

the db_buffer_cache setting is for 25 MB ...

can I change the db_buffer_cache setting dynamically ?
if so how much max can i set it to considering the amount free i.e 340 MB ram ?
Also do i need take other paramters into considerartion like the
    Max SGA size
    SHARED_POOL_SIZE

Any suggestions will be appreciated ..

    thanks
    harry
