    Unanswered: How can I extract data in a xml file using pl/sql?

    Hi,

    Currently, we genarate .txt file from the following code from a form module:

    declare
    out_file TEXT_IO.FILE_TYPE;
    v_file_name varchar2(200);
    cursor c_extract is
    select *
    from centrelink_extract;
    v_extract_found boolean := FALSE;
    begin
    out_file := TEXT_IO.FOPEN(:extract.filename, 'w');
    for r_extract in c_extract loop
    v_extract_found := TRUE;
    TEXT_IO.PUTf(out_file, RPAD(r_extract.centrelink_no||r_extract.surname||r _extract.dep_child||r_extract.post_code||r_extract .person_id||r_extract.extract_date, 54));
    text_io.new_line(out_file);
    end loop;
    TEXT_IO.FCLOSE(out_file);
    set_item_property('button_palette2.pb_create_file' ,ENABLED,PROPERTY_FALSE);
    if v_extract_found then
    message('Extract completed. '||v_file_name||' created.');
    else
    message('No data to extract.');
    end if;
    exception
    when others then
    -- unable to open out_file for output
    message('Invalid filename.');
    end;

    But now we want to generate XML file for the data extraction for above.
