Unanswered: On OS390 in DB2 job, whats the meaning of this...

    Hi experts,

I got this message in the DB2 job output :-

    DSNT501I DSNILMCL RESOURCE UNAVAILABLE
    CORRELATION-ID=java
    CONNECTION-ID=SERVER
    LUW-ID=GAC8C852.NE8B.57E522134929=9068
    REASON 00C9008E
    TYPE 00000304
    NAME TOLTRCTC.TCTC0015.X'00486D' '.X'14'

    --------

REASON 00C9008E is a timeout happenning in a table
type 304 points to Table space RID DB.SP.RID

What does this means in plain english ?? RID is row id ? whats wrong do you guys think with it ?

    Thanks

It looks like DB2 timed out waiting for a lock to be released. It appears the lock was at the row level and the RID is provided. I would verify that the table is set up with locksize of row.

Also, check the SDSF log output for the DB2 MSTR region. The first part tells you what or who is holding the resource. The second part is the part you posted, and tells you the resource it is waiting for.
