Question Unanswered: Can we know, is there any dblink made to my database

    Hi Friends,

Can I know whether is there any dblink connection being made to my database by looking at my database.

    Thanks,

    No way to know.
You could change all your passwords in order to prevent a dblink (or find out if there was a db_link if someone eventually complains that theirs no longer works).

One way might be to query the MACHINE column in the V$SESSION table. Look for machine names that correspond to your other database servers... other than that, agree with Duck... no real way to query who is connected by dblinks.

On possible way would be by creating an external table which maps to the listener.log file; but this will only be useful if/when DNS is all correct for rDNS and you "know" all the other DB server systems on the 'Net.
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
