    Smile Unanswered: Create a text file in Sybase

    Hey hi all friends


    I want to create an stored procedure which it must to create a text file using the elements of a cursor.

    There is a way which not be a BCP???

    One option would be to redirect the output of the SP to a file in Unix shell script. Also, more depends on where you want to use the SP.

    Yes. You can output to file in append mode. In unix you can use ">>" symbol. But I don't thnik it's a good option to send output line by line using cursor and honestly speaking I don't know how to do it line-by-line using cursor. My solution will work with select/SP outputs.
